Weekend

We had another quiet weekend at home. Saturday I had to go to the ESU game and take some pictures of the little cheerleaders. Maddie was all decked out in ESU stuff and went with me, however, she would not get out there and cheer. Saturday evening we had family pictures taken and then went out to dinner. I'm so excited to see the pictures. I think we got some really good shots of the girls. Kynzie actually smiled this time. Sunday was church and park/zoo.

Well, I posted on facebook on Friday that I had a two year old for sale. I had a few takers but no one actually followed through so I guess we'll just keep her :). Friday morning, I put her in her chair and gave her a white powdered sugar donut while I was getting ready for work. The next thing I know it is crumbled up in a billion pieces all over my floor. Grrrr. This one incident might not have irritated me so badly if she hadn't of woke me up at 3:00 am like she has been doing for the last week and a half now! I'm not quite sure what is going on with her but recently she has decided that at about 3:00 am, she needs to wake up and come downstairs and get me up. Luckily she goes back to bed pretty easy. However, this morning at 5:30 am, she was up and wasn't going back to bed. I heard her upstairs talking thru the monitor and she was saying, "my tummy hurts" then she came downstairs and proceeded to yell "EAT, EAT, EAT, EMEAL (oatmeal), until I got up and made her some oatmeal. After her oatmeal at 5:45 am she was good to go and went back to sleep until I had to wake her at 7:40 am. Matt and I are guessing that she is not eating enough at dinner or eating too early and it's just not enough to hold her until morning, so I guess we will be doing a bedtime snack with her so she will sleep in a little longer. There's one thing we know about Kynzie, she likes to EAT!

Last train ride of the summer 2009

Matt didn't have his usual Wednesday night meeting so we all got to go to the last train ride of the season together. We met some of our friends there.

Last Weekend

Friday night the Lake's came over and we just ate some pizza and hung out. Zack fell down our stairs and that was BEFORE his first drink, haha! Saturday we got up and went to the zoo in the morning then went downtown to walk around the shops. I love Saturday mornings in the Fall. For lunch, we ate at a little Mexican restaurant that is owned by some of Matt's students parents. It was really good and reminded me of some homecooked food. Saturday night was a lazy night of doing nothing and it felt really good. Sunday, I had to help out in Maddie's Sunday school class for second service so we went to 1st service. After church, I went by and picked up my money from the consignment sale that we do here. I made $241.00 this time which I thought was pretty good. Monday was a BIG day for the girls. Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Joe were coming home from Branson and they stopped by to see us on their way home. They arrived about 3:00 pm and Matt immediately put dad to work on our new toy.....see picture below! Mom and I started to help until we realized that Matt is waaaaaay to picky for us so we decided to go pick up the girls. We got Maddie first and she was sooo excited to see grandma. Before we even saw her, we had three teachers stop us and tell us how Maddie had been telling EVERYONE at school that her grandma and grandpa were coming today and they were going to pick her up from school. Maddie had gymnastics that night so grandma got to go and watch her.....grandpa was still stuck at the house helping Matt! We had a great evening. Ate some KFC, played on new toy, dug for rolly polly's, watched rolly polly's crawl all over Maddie, watched grandpa Joe set the alarm off on Matt's scooter, watched grandpa Joe take off on Matt's scooter, watched grandpa Joe whiz by on Matt's scooter then hit a speed bump, played with girls downstairs, tried to figure out what Kynzie was saying......she was telling us that grandpa Joe wanted a pepsi, put girls to bed! Whew, what a night. Said goodbye to grandma and grandpa in the morning and went on with our Tuesday. Then, for the next 3 mornings and one afternoon, got to listen to Kynzie ask where Debbie was?

Parent teacher conference

Wow, thought I had better blog before the weekend to get caught back up. Not sure if I can remember two weekends in a row. Going back to last week....we had parent teacher conference's for Maddie on Thursday. I have to admit that I was a little nervous on what we would hear from her teacher. Not because she is a bad kid but she has just had a bit of a hard time this year with transitioning to new things and people. We are all working really hard for her to ease her anxiety and she has definitely improved. Her teacher had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She said that Madisyn was a really great and smart little girl :) Aww, love hearing that! We've started a sticker chart with Maddie at home. She receives a sticker every day that she does not cry during transition time at school. When she gets 30 stickers, she will get to pick out a really big surprise. Right now she has 8. But this week has been a really good week for her, earning a sticker everyday but Tuesday. Tuesdays are Chapel day and that seems to be the hardest day for her. We just want to see improvement and I definitely think she is doing that.
